As communities get larger and more anonymous, it becomes more important to make rules for who is allowed to do what and to see what. This is important for the security of both the system and the members.
- The system will provide a fixed set of permissions, such as edit web page, delete transaction, create currency, change account owner, view member addresses.
- There will be roles in the system, created at setup, where each role has a set of permissions.
- For members there will be three privacy levels, defined at setup of the system, called anonymous, member, and buddies. Members will nominate people to be their buddies and to see all their account information, whereas in a large system some members might not want some information visible to members they don't know.
